Coming into the Kingdom of God is not an easy process, God designed it that way so that not just anyone could access it. Would you hand your keys over to just anyone? No, I think not or at least you shouldn't, and God isn't going to either.
"He replied, "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them." Matthew 13:11 NIV
Being saved is being saved, but coming into the Kingdom of God is a whole other ballgame. Us coming into a
saving knowledge of who Jesus is is a free gift of faith from God. But, obtaining the keys to the Kingdom of God will cost us, it will cost us who we became in this world without Him.
who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor coveters, not drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 BSB).
We were all born into sin, different types of sin, yes, but sin none the same. None of us are outside of that truth if we say we were not born into sin, then therein lies a far bigger deception at the root of what is hindering our
relationship with God. But, since we were all born into sin, some things are just gonna take time to walk us out of and back from. It's a process, be kind to yourself, and never stop pursuing a relationship with God no matter how dark it gets, how bad you've messed up, or how worthless you feel, or how useless things seem. He is with you, and no matter what happens, remember that He will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8 NIV
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).”
In this process when we do not yet have the capacity to receive the word of God, the enemy comes and removes what was planted. But, there are also times that we get it, but we have no true relationship with Christ to cultivate what we've learned. So, what we've heard is short-lived, things get hard and difficult, so we lose whatever momentum we were beginning to obtain. Then our problems overtake us and all the effort we were putting into pursuing the things of God are lost to us. We run back to what we know, what makes us feel safe and comfortable, and what seemed to work for us before, even though it didn't work out well for us when it was all said and done
So we have to stop running backwards to familiar places because God is moving forward and is wanting & trying to do a new thing in our life (Isaiah 43:19). But, It's not until we get to the place of receiving our new heart that things begin to take root, changing us from within and where we really start to see the words in our Bible come to life in our own life.
"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and
does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed
sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once
receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." Matthew 13:18-23 NIV
So welcome to the process, don't give up. God is fighting for you, all you have to do is look to Him
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14).”
Prayer
Father, you’re so good and so faithful to help us grow in the knowledge of you. Help us to understand that you are for us and that you’re not against us. You are not some God who sits up in Heaven mad at us, but that you are God, our Father, a good Father, and you want us to know your love. A good Father, who wants us to be free from all that we were born into when we were born into this fallen world so that we can serve you truthfully. Help rid us of condemnation and fear that immobilizes our pursuit of you. Those things are not of you, and we thank you for sending your son Jesus to set us free. You are so good. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
Have you been saved?
If you are someone who has not been saved. I would like to ask you, do you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead? If you believe that then declare openly with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. If you do these things, then you are, in fact, saved, and I would like to welcome you to the body of Christ.
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
If you would like to receive power in your walk with God, welcome the Holy Spirit into your life today.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
